Likoma Malawi 3th of June
2010
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On behalf of the people of Likoma and on my
behalf, I would like to thank you for what you have
done for us through the project Malawi programme.
Now, our children, mainly the orphans and those
who come from the poor families, have been able to
go to school, witch was not the same before.
Also their health has been improved
a lot.
The project have helped to save our
children because we known hunger in our country.
The
children who didn’t come to school were without
food.
Now they come to school and they
have a meal.
Those
families who have adopted make sure that the child
have a daily meal with the money they get through
the project. Because of the project there is just a
small number of street children in our place. Now we
don’t have to force our children to go to the
school, they like school because they can eat and
play there.
The project is also doing a very good job by
helping the Aidsfamilies, the disabled children and
children with other diseases who need medical
attention on the mainland of
Malawi.
I would also thank the students from your high
school.
They came here for their practice.
I hope students continue to help our
children and teachers to know the international
standard of teaching.
It is my wish that you are continue to assisting
us because it is only education that can make
Africa change from poverty.
I know that it is not easy for a Belgian to come
and live for a month or more on Likoma, live is not
good but please don’t leave us now, we are very far
from standing on our own and can use your help,
please keep it up.
We appreciate what you are doing for
us.
Lastly: may God bless you all.
John Chirwa
